This data is provided by you or obtained from authorized public sources or business partners.

Personal data is collected through the following means:

  • Website contact form (also used for appointment requests): allows us to collect your first name, last name, email address, and the reason for your inquiry.
  • Insurance contracts: when signing an insurance contract with Insurance Keepers, you provide us with personal data such as your address, phone number, and other personal information summarized in “3. Data Collected”.
  • Cookies: these files collect browsing data to analyze website traffic and improve user experience (more details below).

6. Purposes and Legal Bases of Processing

Your personal data is processed for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:

  • Information Obligation (Article 45(1)(e) ISA): to inform the policyholder how personal data is processed, in particular the purpose and extent of processing, as well as the recipients and retention of processed data.
  • Data Controller (Article 5(j) FADP): Insurance Keepers SA, pension institutions, insurers, reinsurers, and partner banks must all comply with the current data protection provisions. Insurance Keepers SA cannot under any circumstances be held responsible for the improper processing of transmitted information by partners.
  • Contract Performance (Article 6, paragraph 1, point b), of the GDPR): Management of contracts and transactions.
  • Legitimate Interests (Article 6, paragraph 1, point f), of the GDPR): Risk assessment, service improvement, IT security, and dispute management.
  • Consent (Article 6, paragraph 1, point a), of the GDPR): Marketing communications with your explicit consent.
  • Legal Obligations (Article 6, paragraph 1, point c), of the GDPR): Compliance with regulations on anti-money laundering, tax control, and fraud prevention.

  • Reinsurers
  • Third parties involved in mandate management
  • Rating and solvency service providers
  • Debt collection services
  • Financial, tax, and legal advisors
  • Public bodies and authorities (in accordance with the law)

We only share your data with your consent or when required by law, and for the purpose of fulfilling the contracts you sign with us and our partner insurers.


8. Transfer of Personal Data Abroad

If the client wishes to request services abroad, the intermediary may share personal data in accordance with Article 16 of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

Personal data may be transferred abroad if the Federal Council has determined that the destination country has legislation ensuring an adequate level of data protection or if an international organization guarantees an adequate level of protection.


9. Data Retention Period

Data is retained for the period necessary to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations (up to 10 years for tax and commercial obligations, and up to 20 years for certain legal evidence).

Data processing is carried out in the intermediary’s secure environment, exclusively accessible to its employees and stored on a secure server in Switzerland.
